Farruquito returns to the stage in April with "Íntimo"
Don't miss the dates of the flamenco dancer's upcoming shows.

Farruquito returns to the stage and does so with "Íntimo", a show that is both groundbreaking and intimate, in which he reviews everything from the traditional to the most current in flamenco dance.
In the words of the artist: "I want to find the wonderful balance between the different periods of flamenco that I have been lucky to live and enhance it with the essential influence of singing and guitar".
A mix between choreography and improvisation
Íntimo tells the story of the origins and history of flamenco in which dance is shown in its purest form. Under an intimate atmosphere, but at the same time impregnated with strength, it exalts each scenic element to the intentional service of the dance.
For Farruquito, this show can be defined as a mixture of tradition and innovation, improvisation and choreography, technique and feeling: "I live the best moments of previous shows integrating new creations; always keeping the essence and improvisation as the origin of flamenco but enriching it with the choreographic staging, both -improvisation and choreography- essential concepts in my learning since I was a child".
Despite the transversality of concepts, each part of the show has a specific meaning and a special proposition. "It is an original work in lyrics, music and choreography. The singing, the guitar, the percussion..." he stresses: "They are not a simple accompaniment: all my musicians are the protagonists of a concert, a musical dialogue between them, and between them and the dance".
A liturgy begins in which the most personal aspect of 'El Capitan' is revealed. A seguiriya announces the appearance on stage of the Maestro, from which we are transferred to the exaltation of traditional and distinguished palos such as tangos, soleá, bulerías, or alegrías. In each step, in each silence, in each movement full of music, in each walk, wisdom and strength are displayed.
Farruquito evokes a journey through flamenco full of sensations, of freedom; returning his roots to the stage, contemplating the world from within.
