Diego Andújar from Extremadura wins the first prize in a hotly contested final.

Diego Andújar from Extremadura won the first prize in the first edition of the Concurso de Baile Tacón Flamenco in a hard-fought final. Andújar shared the final with dancers such as Noelia Domínguez, Ariadna Rivas and Zaila Fernández.
Virginia Espallardo Ruiz "La Vichy" was the children's winner, who had a very difficult time with the mastery and good taste of other young dancers such as Mariela "La Tremendita", Izan Campos "El Mechitas" and María Cabezudo, who were finalists.
According to one of the organisers, Anais La Lunare "For a first edition we have had a much higher level than I imagined and from various places in Spain and, honestly, the decision was very difficult as they were all worthy of being winners".
Prizes for young and old
One of the peculiarities of this competition are its prizes consisting not only of a cheque and a statuette but also the opportunity to dance at the Tablao del Carmen in Barcelona, a unique opportunity for these promising young dancers.
In addition, both the winners in the adult and children's categories have received a free one-year subscription to our ALL FLAMENCO platform.
