The art of the "Sordera" in Lela Soto
Lela Soto comes from one of the most artistic family sagas in flamenco singing: "Los Sordera". The young woman, with her own talent and wisdom, has carved out a great career, which we review in this post.

Lela Soto is a gypsy singer, known in the history of flamenco singing under the artistic name of Lela Soto "Sordera", she was born in Madrid in 1992, and is the daughter of the flamenco singer Vicente Soto and granddaughter of the great Manuel Soto 'El Sordera'.
Her singing is rooted in the most traditional flamenco, although she also uses avant-garde touches in her music, with influences from Jazz, Blues and Salsa in her voice.
Without a doubt, she assumes the responsibility of the surname she carries and her good conditions as a cantaora make her a figure of flamenco singing, as she has already demonstrated in her passage through some peñas such as the Buena Gente.
Awards for Lela Soto's art
In 2017 she won the Concurso de Cantiñas in Cádiz a "Beca Acciona" to study in the flamenco school of the Foundation and as an extra prize she obtains the participation in the cycle Flamenco Viene del Sur 2018, organised by the Instituto Andaluz del Flamenco, together with the winner of the Concurso de Guitarra de Acompañamiento, Blas Martínez, and the winner of the Concurso de Baile Flamenco, Adrián Domínguez.
