The 8th April awards of the Instituto Cultura Gitana have had a special meaning for ALL FLAMENCO this year, having received the Communication Award.

This is the 14th edition of the Instituto Cultura Gitana’s awards to personalities – Romani and non Romani – who, from different fields, contribute to the dissemination and enrichment of Romani culture. The awards were presented at a ceremony held on Friday 8 April 2022, International Roma Day.

The Institute of Roma Culture is a state public sector foundation promoted by the Ministry of Education, Culture and Sport. Its objectives are the development and promotion of Romani history, culture and language. También de la difusión de su conocimiento y reconocimiento a través de estudios, investigaciones y publicaciones. Through the organization of academic and cultural events, as well as support for artistic creation, the Institute aims to achieve recognition of the contributions of Gypsies to the common cultural heritage.. In other words, to highlight the gypsy aspect as one of the backbone of Spanish culture.
