Curvy fashion, the one aimed at real women with normal and ordinary sizes, was already present on quite a few catwalks before 2017. But not in those dedicated to flamenco. Sonibel was the first brand that opted for a line of this type and took it to SIMOF.

This is how the designers behind the brand, Sonia and Isabel, presented this curvy fashion for flamenco:“This show has been critically acclaimed and has generated a lot of excitement among the public. We proudly launched ourselves into the world of curvy women, as pioneers in being the first show on this international fashion catwalk exclusively for plus-size women. We show real women, who are no longer afraid of anything, who are not afraid of tight figures, plunging necklines, open backs, prints… Women who want to look beautiful and wear strong looks that highlight their curves.

Special mention to the participation in this fashion show of the international model and a reference of curvy fashion Marisa Jara. As well as the winner of Miss Curvy Spain, Berta Lemus, and the singers María de la Colina and Davinia Jaén.

As Sonibel says, the flamenco woman was already synonymous with a real woman because of many of her qualities, and “we tried to transmit this in each of our unique designs”. However, they wanted to go further and take part in the promulgation of this example of real beauty.
