María José Llergo presents her new album

María José Llergo returns to the Barcelona Jazz Festival after her debut in 2020. And brings new album (Sensation), which, according to the material of its producer, “is a declaration of intentions in the search for an authentic artistic vision that transcends beyond flamenco”.

The freedom and beauty of the different are the backbone of themes in which diversity and new sensibilities are indispensable factors to achieve a more egalitarian and just society”, explains María José Llergo.

This cantaora born in Córdoba in 1994 dedicated herself to the study of the violin until she was 18 years old. During that time, Llergo developed a deep connection with the rural environment, influenced by the teachings of her grandfather, who not only cultivated the land, but also transmitted knowledge about the renowned flamenco and bolero singers.
