Flamenco in Granada has a date with the performance of Manuel Fernández Heredia as part of the programme of the city’s Guitar Festival called Trasnoches. In demand by the leading figures of flamenco singing and dancing, Manuel will be accompanied on percussion by José Cortés “el indio”. The venue is the Peña La Platería.
His beginnings in flamenco were essentially self-taught, although his training grew as he worked in festivals, peñas and, above all, in tablaos on the flamenco circuit in Granada, such as Casa Ana, where he is one of the star guitarists.
Manuel has shared the stage with great singers such as Chonchi Heredia, Morenito de Íllora, Pansequito, José Parra, La barbería del Sur, La Macanita, La Susi or Guadiana; and dancers such as El Farru, Manuel Liñán, Juan Andrés Maya, Luis de Luis, Antonio Canales, Raquel Heredia La Repompa, Alba Heredia or Maite Galán.
