The Caló Flamenco cycle encompasses three other major events that are the hallmark of the summer cultural program in Jerez de la Frontera: Noches de Bohemia, Viernes Flamencos, and Fiesta de la Bulería. This year, 2023, the entire edition is dedicated to the centenary of Lola Flores, with shows based on her figure, legacy, and personality.
And as part of the Fiesta de la Bulería, in its 56th edition, José el Berenjeno will perform on 17 August with numerous guests who will be travelling through magical moments of Lola Flore
With an unrepeatable cast, their greatest hits are performed with the visit of Mara Rey, Coral de Los Reyes, Anabel Valencia, and Samara Carrasco. And, of course, José El Berenjeno will bring to the work the figure of Manolo Caracol, an essential cantaor in the life of Lola Flores. On the dance, Águeda Saavedra, recently awarded in Jerez, will perform this mythical mano a mano with the Sevillian cantaor.
As a guest artist, María Terremoto, a voice from Jerez and current heiress of the most transcendental artists of flamenco singing, on this occasion represents one of the most important moments in Lola’s life, her maternity, a moment that the young Jerez-born singer is going through at the moment.
To take us back to his time in Madrid, Diego de La Margara, Diego Pantoja, Juan Vargas, Enrique El Zambo, and Tía Yoya.
