Gran Gala Flamenco at the Palau de la Música

Gran Gala Flamenco offers this 14th of August a complete journey into the world of flamenco: castanets, fans, beautiful and sensual dresses and original music. This ensemble is the reason for 18 years of uninterrupted programming, with the support of audiences and critics alike. The audience will enjoy flamenco “palos” (rhythmic patterns) such as bulería, farruca, guajira, soleá…

The organizers state that this Gran Gala Flamenco is the only show to be performed in two of Barcelona’s most emblematic theatres: the Palau de la Música, declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, and the Poliorama, located in the emblematic surroundings of the Royal Academy of Sciences and Arts of Barcelona. The two theatres have a combined seating capacity of around 2,600, with thousands and thousands of visitors a year.

The artistic direction is another singular aspect, as it comes from the famous guitarist Juan Gómez Chicuelo.
