Flamenco in Jaén has an appointment in Jódar

Since 1971, the Festival Flamenco de Jódar has been one of the main flamenco events of the summer in the province. It usually alternates established artists with young promises of cante, toque or baile. But it is distinguished by its commitment to the arte jondo, without leaving room for other types of music.

This year 2023 will be held on 31 August as part of the Andalucía-flamenco brand, with the support of the Consejería de Turismo, Cultura y Deporte through the Instituto Andaluz del Flamenco, part of the Agencia Andaluza de Instituciones Culturales (Andalusian Agency of Cultural Institutions). The cantaor Pedro El Granaíno will perform at this gala, giving a recital.

In addition, this 50th festival is a tribute to Gema Jiménez, a local artist, and on vocals, Argentina, Ezequiel Benítez, Juan Pinilla, Rafa el Calli and Rocio Luna are also taking part.
