Miguel Poveda brings his show Diverso to the Cueva de Nerja Music Festival, proposing a journey through the places he has travelled throughout his musical career.

The 62nd Cueva de Nerja Music Festival began in July and continues in August with top level performances. Miguel Poveda and Sara Baras are two of the stars of the bill, with permission of the stage, the gardens outside the famous cave of this town, a delight. The Cueva de Nerja Music Festival is one of the oldest flamenco events (dating back to 1960) and has featured Manolo Sanlúcar, Antonio El Bailarín and Antonio Gades, as well as Paco de Lucía.

Miguel Poveda, to be precise, will perform on 5 August in the gardens of the Auditorio de la Cueva. He presents his album Diverso, in which he starts from traditional classical flamenco and goes to other places such as Andalusian song, tango or Mexican popular song, “it is a palette of colours that was in me and that I need to show”. The artist has taken the beauty of the planet as the symbol of the album, in which he invites us to reflect on caring for it “from the most absolute love for the diversity of our planet”.

An artist with a career full of awards who has been able to build his career with love, perseverance, effort and under the inspiration of the greats of music.
