Antonio Reyes Montoya, born in Chiclana de la Frontera in 1977, comes from a family steeped in flamenco tradition. His grandfather Antonio Montoya and uncle Roque Montoya “Jarrito” were important figures, and he is also related to Pansequito.

From an early age, Reyes showed great talent. He debuted at age 7 and won his first flamenco contest at 10. Over the years, he has become one of the most heartfelt voices in flamenco today.

Reyes has received numerous honors:

  • Antonio Mairena & Manolo Caracol Awards, Concurso Nacional de Córdoba

  • Flamenco de Hoy Award (2015)

  • Latin Grammy nominations (2016, 2020)

  • Ateneo Gaditano Award (2009)

  • El Taranto Award (twice)

  • RTVA Flamenco Radio Award

  • Gitano Andaluz Cultural Award (2022)

He has performed internationally in the USA, France, Italy, Netherlands, Switzerland, and Greece, collaborating with great guitarists like Diego del Morao.

A moving and intimate recital
In the program Antonio Reyes, el cante dulce on ALL FLAMENCO, Reyes performs fandangos accompanied by guitarist Joni Jiménez. His singing is full of sensitivity, technique, and emotion. As he states: “I try not to fake anything, that’s the most important thing.”
