San Fernando, the birthplace of the legendary Camarón de la Isla, will once again become a vibrant hub of flamenco this summer as it hosts the 10th edition of La Isla Ciudad Flamenca, running from July 21 to August 31, 2024. This beloved festival, now a key date in the flamenco calendar, celebrates a decade of music, dance, and Andalusian culture — and this year it does so with a special collaboration with ALL FLAMENCO.
To commemorate this important milestone, ALL FLAMENCO has launched a new category on its platform titled “La Isla Ciudad Flamenca”, where audiences around the world can relive unforgettable concerts and performances from the past 10 years of the festival. This exclusive content includes appearances by renowned artists such as Capullo de Jerez, María Terremoto, Antonio Reyes, Rancapino Chico, Macarena Ramírez, Carlos Carbonell, Alberto Sellés, and Carolina Castilla, among many others.

A festival rooted in tradition and passion
With the slogan “42 days of flamenco, gastronomy, beach and Andalusian hospitality”, the festival beautifully blends culture and community. Over the past decade, it has earned a special place in the hearts of flamenco lovers thanks to its commitment to accessible performances — most of them free of charge — and its powerful mix of national talent and local artists from the region of San Fernando.
This year, the festival expands its footprint with new venues such as Bahía Sur boulevard and Plazoleta de las Vacas, adding to iconic spaces like the Auditorio del Parque Almirante Laulhé, the legendary Venta de Vargas, Plaza del Rey, and the Callejuelas de Camarón — a street deeply linked to the flamenco legend.
Among the most anticipated events are the Flamenco Nights in the Park (August 9), the Night of Flamenco Dance (August 23), and beloved series like Flamencos en la Alameda, Mondays at Abacería La Cañañilla, and El Patio del Turco Wednesdays, as well as gatherings in private spaces thanks to new agreements with local venues.
A decade of legacy now available worldwide
“This collaboration allows us to preserve and share a decade of flamenco history with the world,” says the programming team at ALL FLAMENCO.
“We’re proud to have ALL FLAMENCO as a global platform to showcase the soul of our festival,” says the organization team at Flamenco de La Isla.
The partnership with ALL FLAMENCO is part of a broader celebration that includes a collaboration with PRIME VIDEO and an initiative with the Alzheimer’s Association, supporting the release of MADRE, a compilation of 35 sacred flamenco tracks whose digital sales will benefit this cause.
Recognized for its contribution to local culture and tourism, La Isla Ciudad Flamenca was recently honored by Asithur (San Fernando’s hospitality association) with an award presented at the city’s 2024 Hostelry Gala. The festival is organized by Flamenco de La Isla with the support of San Fernando City Hall, Venta de Vargas, AIE, Bahía Sur, and now ALL FLAMENCO as an international broadcasting partner.
