Antonio Reyes was born in Chiclana de la Frontera, Cádiz, surrounded by flamingos. And he continues the tradition started by his grandfather Antonio Montoya and his uncle Jarrito. At the Festival Castillo del Cante de Ojén, Malaga, he gave a recital to Fosforito, another great flamenco. Don’t miss it!!
This recital of the cantaor Antonio Reyes a Fosforito is framed within the tribute of Ojén in which another dozen artists also participated. Thus, in addition to Reyes, El Pele, La Macanita, Pedro El Granaíno and Julián Estrada performed. On guitar, El Niño Seve, Manuel Valencia, Diego del Morao, Antonio de Patrocinio Hijo and Manuel Silveria. The poster was completed by the dancers Antonio de Verónica and Saray Cortés.
The Ojén Festival
The Castillo del Cante Flamenco Festival is one of the great annual flamenco events in Spain and one of the oldest in the province of Malaga. One of his most personal characteristics is that the performances are lived from silence and almost reverential respect for the artists.
The best singers in flamenco history have passed through its tables, such as Fosforito, to which tribute will be paid by projecting some of the performances he has offered in Ojén. To his name are added those of José Menese, Camarón de la Isla, El Lebrijano, Chiquetete, El Cabrero, Juanito Valderrama, Calixto Sánchez, Luis de Córdoba, Rafael Farina or La Niña de la Puebla. www.ojen.es
