On August 31st, the Alameda in San Fernando became the setting for an unforgettable evening celebrating young flamenco. The star of the night: Lola La Chiri<\/strong>, a cantaora just 15 years old, who brilliantly closed the 10th edition of the La Isla Ciudad Flamenca<\/em> festival.<\/p>\n

The atmosphere was filled with emotion. It was a Sunday, and despite the comings and goings of those preparing to return to work the next day, no flamenco lover wanted to miss the festival\u2019s final night. With a packed venue, host Santiago Mu\u00f1oz<\/strong> opened the event with words of gratitude for the audience and organizers, and paid tribute to key figures like Rafael Vargas<\/strong> and Javier Bey<\/strong>, who have left their mark on the history of the festival.<\/p>\n

A young promise with the soul of a veteran<\/h3>\n

Lola La Chiri\u2019s entrance was striking: she walked down the central aisle of the Alameda singing the zambra La Salvaora<\/em>, immediately igniting the audience\u2019s applause. This was followed by a powerful sole\u00e1 por buler\u00edas<\/strong>, and later an emotional rendition of La Tarara<\/em>, which had the crowd singing along with her.<\/p>\n

One of the standout moments came after a brief intermission, when she returned wearing a stunning flamenco dress. With it, she began a lively set of alegr\u00edas<\/strong>, full of freshness and vitality, before ending her performance with some fierce buler\u00edas<\/strong> and a joyful fin de fiesta<\/strong>, where she also gifted the audience a short but impressive dance full of rhythm.<\/p>\n

Lola was accompanied by top-tier musicians: Juan Manuel Fern\u00e1ndez<\/strong> on guitar, Jes\u00fas Serrano<\/strong> on keyboard and flute, and Sole Garrido<\/strong> and Marina La Caracola<\/strong> on backing vocals and palmas. During her performance, she thanked Colin Preston<\/strong> and Regina Astorga<\/strong> of Yo Sonido, as well as the festival organizers, praising the quality of the sound and the warm support she received.<\/p>\n

A closing performance that left its mark<\/h3>\n

The closing of La Isla Ciudad Flamenca<\/em> could not have been more fitting. Despite being relatively unknown, Lola La Chiri\u2019s talent did not go unnoticed. The festival made a bold bet on generational renewal\u2014and the audience responded with a standing ovation, moved by what they had witnessed.<\/p>\n

In the young artist’s own words, participating in this edition was \u201ca great opportunity.\u201d<\/em> And those who attended would surely agree\u2014it was a magical night where art, authenticity, and freshness filled the air.<\/p>\n
