The world of flamenco pays tribute to the outstanding bailaora and cantaora La <\/span>Ca\u00f1eta<\/msreadoutspan> <\/span>of Malaga. The artists who accompany La Ca\u00f1eta de M\u00e1laga to give it an emotional and well-deserved tribute are, to the cante: Enrique El Extreme\u00f1o, Remache, Pinto Cort\u00e9s, Remedios Amaya, Cancanilla de M\u00e1laga, Antonio El \u00c1lvarez, Amparo Heredia, Israel Fern\u00e1ndez and Manuel de la Josefa.<\/span> <\/p>\n

For the touch, none other than Pepe Habichuela, who accompanied La Ca\u00f1eta in some of the albums released and during his trips to Japan. Also Chaparro de M\u00e1laga, Antonio Soto, Luis El Salao and Rub\u00e9n Lara.<\/span><\/p>\n

Dancing are La Farruca, Luisa Chicano and Carrete de M\u00e1laga. The applause and rhythm will come from the hand of Kiko Tiriti, Juan Laiker, Fernando Santiago with the percussion of Juanma El Canastero. In addition, the performance features the melody of pianist Carmen G. Jara.<\/span><\/p>\n

A flamenco life: La Ca\u00f1eta de M\u00e1laga<\/h2>\n

Mar\u00eda Teresa S\u00e1nchez Campos, or La Ca\u00f1eta de M\u00e1laga, was born in the neighborhood of El Perchel, in the city of Malaga, in 1932. His mother was the famous cantaora malague\u00f1a and perchelera La Pirula, creator of tango styles later popularized by La Repompa. La Ca\u00f1eta has flamenco in her blood and since her earliest childhood she has been in contact with singing and dancing.<\/p>\n

He began to perform in tablaos in Malaga, such as El Pimpi and El Refugio. When he was still very young, he moved to Madrid, where he amazed the public with his ability to transform popular songs and adapt them to his most outstanding style: buler\u00edas. Although La Ca\u00f1eta has sung tangos, sole\u00e1s, fandangos, alegr\u00edas and seguiriyas. <\/span><\/p>\n

In Madrid, he debuted in the tablao El Duende, where he was part of the cast with Pastora Imperio and Gitanillo de Triana. Later, he worked in other important scenarios, such as Villa Rosa or Circo Price. After a season in Madrid, Mar\u00eda Teresa began her international tours, which took her to Japan, the United States and Latin America. <\/span><\/p>\n

In her personal life, La Ca\u00f1eta de M \u0301 \u0301alaga is married to the flamenco singer Jos\u00e9 Salazar (Los Santos de Maimona, Badajoz) and was his artistic partner for a while. Salazar is an expert in buler\u00edas, sole\u00e1 and fandangos from Huelva.<\/span> <\/p>\n

A cheerful style, like his personality<\/h2>\n

A woman of great personality on stage, she has an extraordinary ability to connect with the audience and move it. She is one of the most important party singers in Malaga, both for tangos and buler\u00edas, although she follows the trend of the festive singers of Seville and Jerez. During her career, she has recorded four albums accompanied on guitar by Paco Aguilera, Pepe Habichuela, Duque, Manuel Santiago and Pedro Escalona. And he has shared the stage with Manolo Caracol and Lola Flores, with Beni de C\u00e1diz, Carmen Amaya and Antonio Gades or La Paquera de Jerez. <\/span><\/p>\n

Now, after seven decades dedicated to offering authentic and pure flamenco, he has decided to take a well-deserved break. <\/span><\/p>\n
