Miguel Poveda presented Roc\u00edo Luna from C\u00f3rdoba with the L\u00e1mpara Minera for the most complete cantaora after her performance at the Festival del Cante de las Minas on 12 August. <\/p>\n

The cantaora Roc\u00edo Crespillo Luna, Roc\u00edo Luna, won over the audience in the Murcian town of La Uni\u00f3n amidst ol\u00e9s and applause.<\/p>\n

Thus, her performance of mineras, cartagenera, siguiriya and grana\u00edna and media grana\u00edna positioned her as the most complete cantaora and, therefore, as deserving of the coveted L\u00e1mpara Minera in 2023.<\/p>\n

A lot of work went into winning this award at the Festival del Cante de las Minas.<\/a> Roc\u00edo Luna prepared thoroughly for the occasion, showing her mastery of the stage and impressing the audience with her sensitivity in interpreting the cante. This is how he won the victory.<\/p>\n

In cante, other award-winning cantaores and cantaoras joined in. Thus, in group III of Andalusian-bass cantes, Mar\u00eda \u00c1ngeles Cruzado Garrido (Huelva) won the prize for farruca and Sergio G\u00f3mez Delgado El Colorao (Granada) for sole\u00e1. Best guitar and others <\/h2>\n

Like Roc\u00edo Luna’s, the rest of the Festival’s trophies have been associated with new names since last night. The prize for the flamenco instrumentalist, the Fil\u00f3n, was won by the taranta performed by Ra\u00fal P\u00e9rez Fern\u00e1ndez on the piano.<\/p>\n

The Bord\u00f3n Minero, the only prize with two contenders in the final, went to Juan Luis Campos Triguero El Poti, from Granada, for his performance of taranta and sole\u00e1.<\/p>\n

The Desplante dance awards went to Yoel Vargas, from Tarragona, and Roc\u00edo Garrido, from Almer\u00eda.<\/p>\n

Who is Roc\u00edo Luna?<\/h2>\n

Roc\u00edo is not new in the world of flamenco. Her work and tenacity have earned her many other awards. Maybe you remember her from the Mel\u00f3n de Oro<\/strong> de Lo Ferro (Murcia), being the youngest winner in the history of the contest, at the age of 12.<\/p>\n

Roc\u00edo Crespillo Luna was born in 1998 in Ca\u00f1ada del Rabad\u00e1n (C\u00f3rdoba). At<\/span>the age of 7, he was already on stage for the first time, and that’s when he discovered that he would never want to stop going on stage.<\/p>\n

When she was only 10 years old, she won the first competition she entered, the National Flamenco Art Competition “Ciudad de Ubrique”. <\/span><\/p>\n

Since she was a child she has taken part in television programs<\/strong> such as “Menuda Noche” and “La Tarde, aqu\u00ed y ahora” on Canal Sur.<\/p>\n

In 2020 he competed in the program “Tierra de Talento” and reached the grand final. In 2022 she was part of the experimental flamenco show “Times of abundance” organized by the Thyssen Foundation.<\/p>\n

She completed her studies at the Conservatorio Superior de M\u00fasica de C\u00f3rdoba, specialising in Flamenco Singing.<\/strong> en el Conservatorio Superior de M\u00fasica de C\u00f3rdoba.<\/span><\/p>\n

<\/span>She is currently studying for the Interuniversity Master’s Degree in Flamenco Research and Analysis.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n
