The Sebasti\u00e1n Escudero Award for “Flamenco Excellence” was created in 2021 and to date has been received by the Festival Internacional del Cante de las Minas and Fosforito. This 2023, it is for Paco Cepero. <\/span><\/p>\n

<\/strong><\/p>\n

Francisco L\u00f3pez-Cepero Garc\u00eda, known as Paco Cepero,<\/strong> is a composer and guitarist from Jerez who has been linked to flamenco all his life. This is what the Lo Ferro Festival has taken into account to award him its highest recognition. To his credit, Cepero already had the “Gold Medal” of this festival in its 2016 edition.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Paco Cepero holds the National Prize of Jerez in 1975, the National Prize of Cordoba in 1977, the Castillete de Oro and Honorary Bord\u00f3n at the Festival Internacional del Cante de las Minas de La Uni\u00f3n, the Gold Medal for Merit in Fine Arts and the Gold Medal for Merit in Work. This “Excellence” of Lo Ferro in 2023 marks a very prolific professional career consisting of seven recordings and more than 800 songs.
